StH#91 - What the Potto thinks Posted by Ian the Potto on November 28, 2000 Okay, I'll be brief. Oh yes, there's potential spoilers in here, so beware. Anyhoo, the Sonic story was lovely. Sally's line about Elias not being bred to lead I found interesting. However, this potentially flawless story got dragged kicking and screaming into the pits of evil by that monster, Ron Lim. I have no use for the man. He drew Rotor wrong. Not off-model folks, just plain wrong. Some of you may know I run a fan-comic, and I contend that my little fan-run thing would be on par by writting, and superior in art. That's sad, people. When a senior in HS can head a project that looks better than the professionals. I'm sure this Ron fellow is very nice and all, but as an artist, I don't know why he was even considered. The Knux story was just plain glorious. How Nack managed to get out of the Devil's Gulag, and how Nic found him are kinda up in the air, but I loved it entirely. Farewell to Mr. Butler. He will be SORELY missed. Oh, and Ron Lim is the devil. SYOTFS, Ian the Potto ------ Posted by True Red : How Nack managed to get out of the Devil's Gulag, and how Nic found him are kinda up in the air, Didn't Nack escape in Sonic #70? I don't think he was recaptured. --- Posted by Trez In Reply to True Red Yeah, I figured he escaped like Kodos and Arachnis. I can assume that Drago and those monkey and frog guys from the Fearsome Foursome were captured. It looked like some one was flying next to Sonic's Biplane, we can assume that was probably Predator Hawk. --- Posted by Saturn Were Lightning Lynx and Sleuth Doggy Dogg recaptured? I didn't see them with the others in the end of Sonic # 70. I wish Drago would be the Ultimate Villian since whoever he/she will be I heard they will forgive him/her. Could it also be Slueth? I know Drago was a good guy But was Sleuth ever good? I wonder.Seems like he was in the past issues. --- Posted by True Red Yes, he was a good guy. Sleuth used to be one of the Mobians who would dress up as Swat-bots infiltrating Robotropolis. In Sonic #42, he betrayed Sally and the Freedom Fighters. I liked that story a lot. Knuckles being in it had plenty to do with it. ^^ ------ Posted by Dr. Robotnik : However, this potentially flawless story got dragged kicking and screaming into the pits of evil by that monster, Ron Lim. I have no use for the man. He drew Rotor wrong. Not off-model folks, just plain wrong Haven't seen it. I liked the last Ron Lim art I saw. It's not Galan art, but I liked it okay. I think he's better than James Fry, at least he fits the comic better. What does his Rotor look like? --- I`ve just read the issue in question Posted by Rick 2Tails The problem with him is that all the characters are of.I think he rushed through it.Either that or he can`t draw furries that well. The characters often have poor anatomy or way too big heads.Everyone looks creepy in certain panels. He`s not a bad artist.I just see lots of mistakes.Maybe he is better suited as an inker? Certain characters and certain panels and all the backgrounds are ok.I will guess he rushed it because he wanted to move on to his next art project. As if he felt the pay/prestige of this work was not worth the effort to do a good and consistent job :P Now Butler on the other hand...YEAH!!! His art kicks MAJOR heiney as always! Nic is sooooo sexxy >;) ------
